Mexican Picadillo

# Ingredients:

  • 1 lb of Ground Beef

  • 3 Diced Potatoes

  • 1 teaspoon cumin

  • 1 teaspoon paprika

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 1 8oz can of tomato sauce

  • 2 cups water

  • 1/2 cup salsa (optional)

  • Sour cream, guacamole, and chopped cilantro for serving (optional)


# Instructions:


1. Start by placing your potatoes in a hot skillet with 1tbsp of olive oil
2. Fry potatoes for 3-4 min and then add ground beef.
3. Mix and cook ground beef until no longer pink.
4. Add in your tomato sauce and cook for 1 min while stirring.
5. Next, add in your seasonings and water, Stir until incorporated well.

6. Place lid on and let simmer for 15 min or until potatoes are done. You can add a whole jalapeño to this step if desired for a spicy kick.
11. Serve with a dollop of sour cream, a spoonful of guacamole, and a sprinkle of chopped cilantro, if desired.
